Battery drains very fast

Sometimes Kindle Fire users notice that the battery dies suddenly and unexpectedly. If you run into a similar issue, then you could take some steps to resolve the issue.

Possible fixes
Long press the Power button at the side until the Kindle Fire restarts.
The reason behind such an unexpected battery drain might be the apps. Head over to Settings and tap on App and Games. Tap on Manage All Applications and try to uninstall apps and see if you can determine the offending one.

Downloaded books disappear suddenly

Some users face this glitch wherein e-books disappear from their Kindle Fire tabs. There are some ways to tackle this issue.

Possible fixes
Do you have the Google Play Store? Well, if yes, then this could be causing the issue. Launch the Play Store and locate Kindle app. Uninstall Kindle. After that, open the menu in Play Store and tap on Settings. From the Settings screen, select Auto-update apps and then tap on Do not auto-update apps.
Go to the Settings menu and tap on Apps and Games. Now, select Manage All Applications and locate the Kindle application. Force stop the Kindle app and clear its cache.

Sometimes users may find their Kindle Fire stuck at boot logo screen. When they power it on, the display shows the Kindle Fire logo and freezes. Thankfully, this issue is entirely fixable.

Possible fixes
Insert the charger and allow your tablet to charge for a while. After that, without removing the charger, long press the Power button and wait for it to restart.
Plug it onto a computer and check if the Kindle Fire gets recognized.
Try to perform a factory reset. However, you should know that doing so will erase all the data stored in the tab.

App won’t open or stops responding

You can also try to uninstall the app. Just go to Settings and then select Apps and Games. Tap on Manage All Applications, select the app and tap on Uninstall. Reboot the Kindle Fire by pressing the Power button. Install the app again.
